Terms and Conditions

These are Frowey’s terms and conditions, which explain how we fulfil orders and the terms that apply. You will be asked to confirm that you have read and agree to these terms when you register online.

Placing an order

You can place an order over the phone or online. If you wish to order over the phone or email us with a query, you will find all the contact details you need on the contact us page.

To order online using our secure payment process:
  1. From the Customer account page, click Register to create your Frowey account (remember to include a space between the first and second part of your postcode eg MK17<space goes here>9LT) – if you already have an account go straight to 2
  2. Click Add against the produce selection to add one or more items to your basket
  3. Click Checkout when you are ready to complete the order and make payment
  4. You will then be asked to Login or Register if you are a new customer
  5. Next confirm the delivery address or provide an alternative delivery address for the current transaction
  6. Your order details will be confirmed and you will be asked to enter your payment details
  7. You will receive confirmation by email and your order will be submitted to us
  8. Payment is taken the day the order is submitted if it is submitted before 16:00. If your order is submitted after 16:00 then payment is taken the following day (see Payment)

Orders should be placed by Tuesday midnight for delivery on the Thursday or Friday of the same week. Delivery days are dependent on your postcode area – see Delivery below.

Pricing and produce variations

The pricing of online produce selections is stated on the website and confirmed during the checkout process when you order online. However, the actual contents of the selections may vary depending on season, availability and fluctuations in market pricing. Content described in each selection is indicative.

The produce delivered will always be to the value of the price quoted, of the highest quality and consistent with the type of selection chosen. You can also phone to confirm content at the time of ordering.

Delivery is free within our current delivery area. However, Frowey reserves the right to change the delivery area, delivery days and / or the free delivery offer at any time in the future. The terms and conditions will be updated to reflect any changes and you will be advised of any delivery charge or change to delivery schedule, should this apply, at the time of ordering.


Payment

You will be asked to enter your payment details during the checkout process. Your details are encrypted and can only be decrypted by Frowey staff responsible for order processing.

Payment is taken using customer not present transaction processing. This is done in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment is taken the day the order is submitted if it is submitted before 16:00. If your order is submitted after 16:00 then payment is taken the following day. Where orders are placed in advance of the 72 hours cancellation period, payment will be taken when the order is prepared.

Cheques are no longer accepted as a form of payment from 1st February 2008. Frowey accepts cash (for in store purchases) and major credit or debit cards.


Delivery

Produce is vacuum packed to prevent discolouration and leakage during delivery. Orders are prepared on the morning of delivery and transported in a refrigerated vehicle when delivered outside of our 10 mile area to ensure produce arrives in peak condition.

Orders placed by midnight Tuesday are delivered on the Thursday or Friday of the same week. You will be asked to select the delivery day during checkout. Depending on your postcode, you will have a choice of Thursday and Friday or either Thursday or Friday or no delivery if you are outside of our delivery area.

We deliver to the address you have provided in your account at registration. You can also provide us with an alternative delivery address at the time of placing your order. You will be asked to confirm the delivery address when you checkout.

Orders are usually delivered between 10:00 and 12:00 or 17:00 and 18:00 on the day(s) offered at checkout. Any changes to delivery times will be agreed in advance.

Your order will include the customer copy of the payment transaction.

What you need to do

We will deliver your order to you personally in a refrigerated vehicle. You need to ensure that you provide us with the correct delivery address and that somebody is at home to receive the order or arrangements have been made for us to leave the order with a neighbour or other location.

Orders are usually delivered between 10:00 and 12:00 or 17:00 and 18:00 on the day(s) offered at checkout. Any changes to delivery times will be agreed in advance.

Frowey is not responsible for non-delivery of orders if there is nobody available to receive the order during the agreed delivery times. Frowey will not grant a refund in this situation.

Cancellations

Cancellations can only be accepted if there is at least 72 hours notice before the order is due for delivery.

Complaints

Frowey strives to maintain high standards for produce selection, butchery and preparation. If in the unlikely event you have cause for complaint, please phone us to discuss the issue where a mutually agreeable solution will be agreed and, where applicable, a full refund granted. The produce should be kept so that it can be inspected.
